Monopoli is defined as the city of a hundred districts. Of great charm is the old town, founded on a fortified Messapian settlement of the fifth century. b.C., over the centuries suffered a countless changes. Its oldest nucleus dates back to the Middle Ages, characterized by narrow and winding alleys that suddenly open onto small squares, surrounded by ancient houses.
The fulcrum of the old city is represented by the port, a deep natural inlet that guaranteed welcome and shelter to those who came from all over the world, first Greeks and Romans, then Venetians, Amalfitans and finally the Spanish.
During the walking tour you will see the small castle located in a nice square. The houses and small buildings are charming. Walk under an archway which opens onto the sea and a long promenade along the harbour. This castle is very unique, and the best part is the view of the blue sea of Monopoli, with the characteristic surroundings and the fishing port. Then admire the splendid Baroque cathedral dedicated to the Madonna della Madia, protector of the city. It looks small but it is actually huge and it contains fine ornaments inside, elaborately decorated with gold and various kinds of colored marble. It contains several side altars, all of them magnificent.

It is difficult to imagine a more beautiful city: alleys, arches, spiers, a fort, ancient walls, light coming from many directions, a beach with crystal clear water.

After your guided tour of Monopoli, continue with a guided tour of Polignano a Mare.

Ready to be enchanted by the charm of this little jewel on the Apulian coast? Let’s go!

Today you will start next to Domenico Modugno’s statue to kick off the guided tour of Polignano Mare.

Afterwards, we will enter the historic center walking through the pretty squares and quiet streets, with our gaze lost between the terraces overlooking the sea and the typical white houses full of flower pots. All suspended in a relaxed, simply entrancing atmosphere!

We will also stop in front of emblematic buildings to tell you their most curious facts, such as those of the church of Purgatorio or the church of Santa Maria Assunta.

Before the guided tour comes to an end, you will once again be enchanted by the charm of this locality as you contemplate the impervious and suggestive cliffs of Polignano a Mare from panoramic points such as the Lama Monachile bridge. The perfect place to take a souvenir photo!

With eyes still filled with the blue of the Adriatic and postcard landscapes, we will say goodbye.

Naples is an open-air museum, it has a rich heritage of art, music, literature and theatre. The city of contradictions, which reveals itself to the eyes of those who know how to read its ancient history through the urban fabric, between the walls, the streets, the churches, the statues and, last but not least, the colors and smells of the characteristic alleys suspended in the time.

Ancient Naples, a fascinating guided tour of the historic center of Naples where myth and legend mix starting from the birth of the city itself, linked to the memory of the Parthenope Mermaid. You will cross twenty centuries of history traveling through the heart of the ancient center of the city, with the famous Spaccanapoli street, the pulsating artery of Ancient Naples.

The historic center of Naples bears witness to the historical-artistic evolution of the city, from its first settlement in the Greek era to the Baroque city. Streets, squares, churches and all monuments constitute a treasure chest of exceptional artistic and historical treasures. During the guided tour, in the ancient centre, we will be able to discover, rediscover and visit centuries-old places such as the Church of Gesù Nuovo, the Monastic Complex of Santa Chiara and the famous Sansevero Chapel, guardian of the Veiled Christ, (closed on Tuesdays, entry is expected, except queue for entry less than 30 minutes). The area of the Neapolitan nativity scene of San Gregorio Armeno will also be the subject of our guided tour, without forgetting the Cathedral, guardian, in the Treasure Chapel, of the ampoule with the blood of San Gennaro.

During your visit you will taste the typical Neapolitan pastry: the Sfogliatella. The shell-shaped pastriy is traditionally filled with ricotta cheese and topped with fruit, creating a sweet snack for any time of day.

At the end of your guided tour, private transfer to your Hotel.

The afternoon will be at your leisure.

Paestum was a large ancient Greek city on the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea in Magna Graecia. The ruins of Paestum are notable for their three ancient Greek temples which are in an excellent state of preservation. Today the remains of the city are located in the modern hamlet of the same name, which is part of the municipality of Capaccio in the province of Salerno, in Campania, Italy.

The name “Paestum” derives from Poseidonia (name given by the Greeks in honor of Poseidon) and the archaeological site was declared a World Heritage Site in 1998.

Among the main Hellenic architectural constructions, you can admire the Temple of Hera, the Temple of Poseidon and the Temple of Athena (today it is still in excellent condition). The amphitheatre, forum and gymnasium were built during the Roman period and today their ruins are still visible.

After visiting the archaeological park, the tour continues with a visit to one of the typical farms in the area.

Buffalo mozzarella is a mozzarella made from the milk of domestic Italian buffalo. It is a product traditionally produced in Campania, in particular in the provinces of Caserta. The term mozzarella comes from the procedure called mozzatura which means “cutting by hand”, separating from the curd and serving in individual pieces, i.e. the process of separating the curd into small balls.
