Welcome to Italy! Independent transfer to your accommodation in Vieste.

Accommodation and overnight in Vieste.

Meet your driver and guide in the hotel lobby and start your private tour to discover Vieste and Peschici.

The guide will welcome you in Vieste and together you will walk through the streets of the center full of dyes and shops.

The entrance to the historic center is clearly defined by an ancient door and a staircase that leads us inside the beautiful city cathedral. After admiring it you will go out through a side door and enter the historic center where small, narrow and picturesque streets alternate with terraces overlooking the sea where the gaze extends to the edge of the horizon, and you will return to the historic center again to then reopen your eyes before to the famous stack known as Pizzomunno, a block of very white stone around which a romantic legend is told.

You will go up towards the Castle to admire the panorama from above, and then down towards the Monastery of San Francesco to find shops and ice cream parlors and to get involved in the atmosphere of eternal vacation that Vieste communicates in every season.

After a brief stop for lunch, just before entering Peschici, you will then continue with a guided tour of the Gargano town of Peschici.

The coast that goes from Vieste to Peschici is dotted with very original structures that in the past were used for fishing: the famous trebuchets.

Once in Peschici, you will meet our guide and begin the guided tour of the historic centre.

The main point of interest in Peschici is certainly the historic center which is located within the medieval walls interspersed with towers, still visible.

The historic center is typically Mediterranean, with narrow streets, viewpoints overlooking the sea, and white houses with domed and sloping roofs, expressions of different historical periods and dominations.

The Peschici Castle dominates the sea, the first structure built in the current historic center, built by the Normans around the year 1000 on the remains of a Greek castle.

Downstream you will find the characteristic small port, the long sandy bay and continuing northwards a rocky ridge with a pine forest and the characteristic “Tower of Monte Pucci” which separates you from the bay of Calenelle and San Menaio.

You will end this experience on Peschici enjoying the sunset from one of the trabucchi of Peschici accompanied by an aperitif.

The Saline are the largest salt pans in Europe by extension and second in the world. This primacy is very important, especially if we consider that the area, for almost its total extension, is today a vast nature reserve where hundreds of bird species spend the winter or live permanently, having found here an ideal habitat for their lives.

Seeing what these stretches of water reserve, whose reflections merge with the sky and whose color tones vary from intense blue to pink, was an exciting and very interesting experience.

Accomodation and overnight in Monopoli.

Monopoli is defined as the city of a hundred districts. Of great charm is the old town, founded on a fortified Messapian settlement of the fifth century. b.C., over the centuries suffered a countless change. Its oldest nucleus dates back to the Middle Ages, characterized by narrow and winding alleys that suddenly open onto small squares, surrounded by ancient houses.
The fulcrum of the old city is represented by the port, a deep natural inlet that guaranteed welcome and shelter to those who came from all over the world, first Greeks and Romans, then Venetians, Amalfitans and finally the Spanish.
During the walking tour you will see the small castle located in a nice square. The houses and small buildings are charming. Walk under an archway which opens onto the sea and a long promenade along the harbour. This castle is very unique, and the best part is the view of the blue sea of Monopoli, with the characteristic surroundings and the fishing port. Then admire the splendid Baroque cathedral dedicated to the Madonna della Madia, protector of the city. It looks small, but it’s actually huge, and it contains fine ornaments inside, elaborately decorated with gold and various kinds of colored marble. It contains several side altars, all of them magnificent.

It is difficult to imagine a more beautiful city: alleys, arches, spiers, a fort, ancient walls, light coming from many directions, a beach with crystal clear water.
After your guided tour, free time for your lunch in Monopoli before to continue with a tour in Alberobello.
