DEPARTURE

Welcome to Italy! At your arrival at Cagliari airport, meet your driver for a private transfer to reach your hotel in Cagliari.

Accommodation and relax.

After your check-in and some time to take a break after your flight, enjoy a welcome dinner in the Hotel.

Overnight in Cagliari.

Meet your driver in the hotel lobby and start your private tour to discover the Teulada area.

Nestled in a valley floor, enclosed by uncontaminated reliefs, Teulada is a town of three thousand and 500 inhabitants in the lower Sulcis, famous for coastal scenery of unparalleled beauty, where cliffs alternate with coves of light and soft sand. Starting with Tuerredda, listed among the ten most beautiful beaches on the island: very fine sand and crystalline sea that recall Caribbean contexts. Then Piscinnì – enclave of Domus de Maria in the Teulada area. Followed by the splendid coves of Capo Malfatano, overlooked by a spanish tower and with a pond behind it, a bay chosen as a landing place as early as the 6th century BC by the Phoenicians. A pearl is Porto Tramatzu: fine white sand, green and turquoise waters, clear and very shallow seabed up to the facing islet. To the northwest, another jewel is Arenas Biancas, southern part of Porto Pino, whose dunes are accessible from a road inside the polygon. Behind the coast the reliefs offer surprising scenery: the forest of centuries-old holm oaks and cork oaks of Gutturu Mannu and the caves of Punta Sebera.
After some free time, you will return to your Hotel in Cagliari.
In the afternoon, meet your guide in the hotel lobby in Cagliari and start a guided tour.

Where the alleys are narrow and alternate with sunny squares, the dark corners with breathtaking views and the ancient buildings open their entrances, revealing traces of centuries gone by, you have arrived in the Castello district of Cagliari.

A true fortress protecting the city, the Castello district – known to all simply as “Castello” – dates back to the Pisan era and survives, once again lively and elegant after a period of decadence, up to today through the Aragonese-Spanish and Piedmontese eras. For centuries it was the heart of the city and still today it holds treasures of great historical and artistic value.

You will see the Palazzo Regio, which for a few years hosted the royal family of Savoy, the Palazzo di Città, the Cathedral of Santa Maria, seat of religious power since the 17th century, whose riches are kept in the baroque crypt, guarded by mighty marble lions. You will walk along the ramparts and cross the medieval gates, ancient access routes to the city, you will stop under the Tower of San Pancrazio and the Tower of the Elephant, from where you will admire the panorama of Cagliari that, at times, takes the breath away even of the most experienced travellers. Castello is also the district of the workshops of artisans, antique dealers, restorers, where you can go in even just for a chat or rummage around for antiques to take home.

And if you want to see Cagliari from above, just exit the maze of alleys and look out over the embankment. Castello offers priceless views: the panorama ranges from the Sella del Diavolo to the Poetto beach, up to the Molentargius Park and the Saline.

Then, return to your Hotel in Cagliari.

Overnight in Cagliari.

Meet your driver in the hotel lobby and transfer to Sant’Antioco Island.

Check-in, welcome dinner and overnight in Sant’Antioco Island.

The day is at your leisure.

Overnight in Sant’Antioco Island.

Meet the driver in the hotel lobby and transfer to Portoscuso. En route, stop of 5 hours in Porto Flavia for a special excursion.

Meet your guide in the area. Porto Flavia: monument of industrial archaeology and located inside the promontory that dominates the beach of Masua, in the territory of Iglesias, built between 1922 and 1924. It is a work suspended between sky and sea that allowed the direct loading of minerals, destined for northern European foundries, onto ships.

A tunnel about 600mt long, dug into the rock by miners, emerges halfway up a cliff that offers a breathtaking view of the suggestive Pan di Zucchero stack, a 132mt natural monument shaped by time. Two overlapping tunnels open out sheer into the sea, interspersed with gigantic silos capable of holding up to 10 thousand tons of material. The silos were loaded in the upper tunnel, while lead and zinc were loaded onto steamships from the lower one, equipped with a conveyor belt, thanks to a mobile arm.
After the excursioni you will continue with a typical Sardinian lunch.
Then, drop off to your accommodation.

Welcome dinner and overnight in Portoscuso.

Meet your driver in the hotel lobby and enjoy day with a cheese tasting in the countryside.
During the tour you will visit a sheep farm with local cheese production, where you will learn how Pecorino and Ricotta are produced. The shepherds who run the farm will explain all the secrets of their cheesemaking traditions and you will have the chance to try some of the steps of the cheesemaking process, if in the cheesemaking season.

At the end of the tour you will enjoy a tasting session of local cheeses and other delicacies of Sardinian cuisine, in the total relaxation of the Sardinian countryside.
