Also known as the “City of the two seas” due to its geographical position between the Mar Grande and Mar Piccolo, Taranto is a beautiful Apulian city overlooking the Gulf of the Sirens. Its origins are so ancient that the city was the only colony that Sparta had built outside the Greek borders and this fact also earned the city the nickname of “Spartan City”. The city has always been a flourishing economic and cultural center also thanks to its commercial port which was considered one of the most important in the Mediterranean since the times of Magna Graecia.
You will leave from the city of two seas to discover our itinerary of the wine route.

Meet your driver in the hotel lobby and start your private tour towards the Taranto countryside.
A few steps from the city of ceramics, a unique/characteristic/exclusive tour that will allow you to understand the love and passion that is dedicated to the KM0 production of native vines.
After a historical and cultural introduction of the company, the tour continues through the vineyards to closely observe the vineyard, the type of soil, the training methods.
The itinerary continues inside the cellar where you will appreciate the winemaking phases through the most modern technologies and during the harvest period, the smell is intoxicating and you can watch all the processes.
The tour ends in the barrique cellar, entirely underground, where the wines age under suggestive tuff vaults.
You will taste 3 labels chosen from the best selections, accompanied by a tasting of typical local products from the organic garden of the winery.
At the end lunch will be served in the Secret Garden. The menu includes a typical appetizer, a first course made with mainly local products and to end with seasonal fruit and typical desserts.
Tasting of 4 labels chosen from the best reserves.
Then return to the hotel.
Overnight in Taranto.
Meet your driver in your hotel lobby for a transfer to Manduria. Along the way you will be able to enjoy the vast expanses of the Ionian Sea along the way that will lead you to a Masseria in Manduria, land of Primitivo.
The Masseria enjoys a single plot, near the Ionian sea, guarded and protected by dry stone walls that delimit the different parcels, where ancient primitive clones have been planted, each with different peculiarities.
You will find very dark and clayey soils alternating with more marly and slightly silty areas. The soils are deep and soft and are very rich in organic matter. To avoid excessive vigor of the plants, they sow grasses to oxygenate the roots of the vineyards of the Masseria and create healthy competition.
Here we follow an organic cultivation aimed at safeguarding the natural organic substance of the soil, trying to enhance biodiversity as much as possible.
You will start your tour in the vineyard and in the olive grove, personally accompanying you where it all begins, you will continue in the cellar to discover all the secrets of winemaking and ageing. You will conclude in the tasting room, where you will taste together the 3 organic wines accompanied by 0km products.. To follow, light lunch.
At the end of your experience, return to the hotel.
