detail informations

Welcome to Italy! At your arrival at Fiumicino airport, meet your driver for a private transfer to reach your hotel in Rome.

Accommodation and relax.

After your check-in and some time to take a break after your flight, meet your assistant for a briefing to know more about your itinerary and enjoy a welcome dinner in Rome.

Then return to your hotel and overnight in Rome.

Meet your driver and guide in the hotel lobby and start your private tour to discover the Vatican Museums.

The Vatican Museums are among the largest museums in the world with an enormous collection ranging from ancient Roman and Egyptian artefacts, religious objects to beautifully painted rooms and even modern art. The 26 different museums of the Vatican are housed in a complex of multiple Apostolic palaces, and are by far the most popular museum destination in Rome, in part because of the famous Sistine Chapel. During your visit, you will marvel at the many art treasures that collected by the popes in 54 different halls since the 16th century.

The absolute highlight of the route through the Vatican museums is the visit to the Sistine Chapel (‘Capella Sistina’). The name is derived from the founder of the chapel, Pope Sixtus IV. The impressive ceiling of this 15th century chapel was painted in the 16th century by Michelangelo. It portrays the story of creation, the great flood and other scenes. The side walls are equally beautiful with paintings of the life of Jesus made by Ghirlandaio, Botticelli, Perugino, Pinturicchio and others. The wall behind the altar shows Michelangelo’s painting of the ‘Last Judgement’. The Sistine Chapel is mostly known for being the space where the cardinals meet for Conclave when electing a new pope. During the election of a new pope, smoke comes from the Chapel’s chimney twice a day. White smoke means a new pope has been elected, while black smoke means the cardinals were not yet successful in their decision.

After these 4 hours of guided visit, return to your hotel by private transfer.

Overnight in Rome.

Meet your driver and guide in the hotel lobby to discover the heart of Rome with the Colosseum.

Walk in the footsteps of emperors and gladiators and retrace 3,000 years of history with this 4 hours tour of the city’s illustrious past as capital of the ancient Roman Empire. You will visit the Colosseum, whose construction was commissioned by Emperor Vespasian as a gift for the Romans and then became the stage of cruel gladiator games, visit also the Roman Forum archeological area, the monumental maze of public and religious buildings that used to have political, social and commercial relevance for the Empire. From the Palatine we will descend into the valley occupied by the Roman Forum, which together with the area of the Imperial Forums, constituted the beating heart and monumental center of ancient Rome. Our guide will lead you along the Via Sacra, the road of processions and triumphs where you will hear details about daily life, anecdotes about famous politicians and ancient legends. You will also get to know the most prestigious buildings in the square such as the Curia, the official seat of the Roman senators, which has survived intact; the rostrum stands from where heated political speeches were delivered; the rally or the area intended for the elections of magistrates and the imposing triumphal arches.

You will also discover what pastimes the young people practiced at the time thanks to the graffiti reproducing the gaming boards engraved on the steps of the Basilica Iulia, the events linked to one of the most famous and admired men of Rome: Julius Caesar, to whom Augustus after death dedicated a temple. You cannot miss a visit to the temple and the house of the Vestals with details of the life of these special priestesses seen as sacred. Included in your itinerary is the walking tour to the heart of Rome where you will end with a delicious gelato tasting.

After this full day excursion, return to your hotel by private transfer.

Overnight in Rome.

Meet your driver and guide in the hotel lobby in Rome and transfer to Tivoli.

A walk through the historic center of Tivoli is a good viaticum for anyone who wants to discover its beauty, tracing the vestiges of its brilliant past through its alleys and squares, before dedicating themselves to visiting the major places of architectural and historical interest. The ideal route for a day trip near Rome, should begin from the medieval Cathedral of San Lorenzo, the cathedral of Tivoli, characterized by a 45mt high romanesque bell tower, from which the gaze can wander freely over the town. In Piazza Trento there is the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore, with its splendid gothic marble portal, annexed to the ancient convent home of the Benedictine friars.
After your walking tour around Tivoli, you will visit 2 very special areas: Villa D’Este and Villa Adriana.
Villa d’Este in Tivoli, UNESCO World Heritage Site, is undoubtedly a spectacular and fascinating place, which is truly worth visiting. A Renaissance architectural masterpiece, Villa d’Este was built in the mid-sixteenth century by Ippolito d’Este, son of Lucrezia Borgia. From the elegant entrance facade you access a wide staircase that leads to three floors, where there are various apartments and sumptuously decorated rooms. The fame of the villa is however linked above all to its incredible garden, in Mannerist and Baroque style, considered one of the most beautiful in Europe.
Going down the monumental staircase on the rear facade of the residence you reach the main avenue, 200mt long and entirely mosaic-lined, bordered by the Gran Loggia, from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the entire complex of gardens, divided into a series of terraces enriched by numerous fountains that produce surprising water games. Among the most notable points of the park are the Cypress Roundabout and the Diana Grotto, completely enamelled and stuccoed.
Villa Adriana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the most famous archaeological sites in Italy and a truly spectacular place. It was built at the foot of the Tiburtini Mountains at the behest of Emperor Adrian, from whom it takes its name, who had no qualms about requesting every magnificence for this incredible residential residence, combining typically Roman architectural elements with other Greek and Egyptian ones.
The villa complex in fact included palaces, gardens, temples and theaters while the villa itself was built on two levels. The archaeological area currently opens to visitors well conveys the sense of magnificence of the original complex, a sign of the power of Rome and its emperor, of which you can still admire today the Pecile, the grandiose quadriportico that delimited the gardens, the Antinoeion, or the temple dedicated by the emperor to his beloved Antinous, the monumental Golden Square used for representative functions, the Large and Small Baths, as well as the two famous theaters: the Greek theater and the Maritime theater. The latter stands on an artificial island in the middle of a wide canal and is probably worth a visit to the entire complex alone.

Then return to your hotel and overnight in Rome.

The first part of the day is free at leisure.

In the afternoon, approaching sunset time, meet your guide and driver and reach another ancient area of Rome, close to Circo Massimo, called Aventino.
It is located between the Savello Park (the real name of the Orange Garden) and the villa of the Priory of Malta. This place is far from the traditional tourist circuits and the historic center but every year millions of tourists come here on purpose to be amazed by what this place has to offer. What awaits visitors is a large portal, the portal of the Priory of the Knights of Malta, on which there is a simple lock. Bending down and peering through its slot, the “telescopic” view that will appear before your eyes will be simply extraordinary. In fact, through the keyhole it is possible to admire the Dome of St. Peter’s frontally surrounded by perfect rows of trees belonging to the Priory Garden, enjoying a unique perspective.

After this epic moment, return to your Hotel and overnight in Rome.

Meet your driver in your hotel lobby and transfer to Pitigliano, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. On the road, stop in Viterbo, a city between Rome and Tuscany.

In Viterbo you will discover the history, the anecdotes and the soul of this wonderful but still little-known place. You will have also some free time.

Then, you will continue with a guided tour in Pitigliano. A splendid town in the Tufo Area, in the heart of the tuscan Maremma, Pitigliano is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy and an Orange Flag. Also nicknamed Little Jerusalem, because starting from the 16th century it hosted a large Jewish community within its walls, Pitigliano is today one of the most fascinating historic villages in Italy and an unmissable stop during a trip to Tuscany. Perched on a tuff cliff, the town stands imposingly over the valleys of the Lente, Meleta and Prochio streams, offering a wonderful view of the wild and uncontaminated nature of this area of the Tuscan Maremma.

Then, check in at your Hotel and enjoy a welcome dinner there.

Overnight in Pitigliano.

Meet your driver and guide at the hotel lobby for a private transfer to the heart of Maremma area. En route, stop in Sovana for a tour.

Suana, got its name from the Romans after their conquest of the territory of Vulci in 278 BC, derives from the Etruscan word Suf which means “green land”.
Today the village has less than 300 inhabitants but in its maximum splendor period it represented one of the most important centers of the Etruscan civilization. Sovana is also known for being the birthplace of Ildebrando (whose birthplace you will see) who became Pope Gregory VII, the famous reforming pontiff who in 1075 faced the dispute for the supremacy of the Pope over the Emperor.
In the 4th century Sovana became Christian thanks to the work of the Evangelist San Mamiliano (patron saint of Sovana) the saint linked to the legend of the treasure of Montecristo narrated in the famous novel by Alexandre Dumas.
